Dear Grandpa Bill,

There are no words that I can say to make your heart feel better other than I'm so sorry.

I remember spending so much time at your place in Marina when I was younger. Days at a time - several days a week - nights - even school nights. Let's just say I was there a lot. I remember being around 7yrs old & thinking "Grandma Carol is mean and Grandpa Bill is a goofball." Fast fwd. 10 yrs & I worked with Grandma Carol at Lazarus for several mos. She took me in under her wing & ensured that I had a positive working experience. She treated me just like her granddaughter. And because of that experience with her I knew that Grandma Carol did in fact love me when I was little and she wasn't mean, she was just quiet because Grandpa Bill had alot to say :) Oh the naive simple mind of a young child.

Amber & Mindy: I love you. Grandma Carol was a kind soul and I believe she is in heaven with her arm around my brother smiling down at the love everyone is expressing to her family in their emotional time of need.

Missy & Craig: I am very sorry for your loss. I will keep your family in my prayers.

Grandpa Bill - have Amber call me if you need anything that I can help you with - even if it's just sitting with you and watching a movie or having dinner.

I love everyone alot.

Dear Bill, Missy, John, Mindy, Craig, Heidi and Grandchildren,
Please accept our condolences for your loss. I have so many wonderful memories from my childhood that include your family. You often included me in your trips to Cincinnati, and Kings Island and I had so much fun. I remember Carol came over to our house just about every evening. My Mom and She would sit at our kitchen table talking, drinking coffee, and smoking their cigarettes.
She is gone too soon, so young, only 71. I want to share the poem with you:

God saw she was getting
tired and a cure was not to be,
so he put his arm around her
and whispered,
“Come with me.” With tearful
eyes, we watched her suffer
and saw her fade away.
Although we loved her dearly,
we could not make her stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove
to us,
He only takes the best.

We will keep your family in our prayers.
Peace,
John, Julie, Katie and Alana Null

Bill Smith and Family,

You are in our thoughts and prayers. God is our refuge and strength, a great help in trouble.

Carol will be greatly missed by everyone that her friendship touched. She was a sweet lady. We really enjoyed having lunch with her and seeing her now and then in the laundermat and in the grocery store.

May God be with you at this time and always.

Love,
Carol and Mary Lounsbery, Susan Lounsbery Lewis and Travis.

Missy, I'm sorry for your loss. No matter how old we are, it's hard to say goodbye to Mommy. She's watching over you in a different way now. You and all your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Lib
