Many happy memories of John and the Homestretch restaurant in Champaign. John was a true restaurateur. We had often visited his shop in Speedway.

My husband and I just found out about the passing of our very good friend John. My husband has been suffering from migraines for well over a month. He just drove over to his house and found out. We are trully shocked and sadden about the passing of John. He will truly be missed and loved by Danny and I. We will continue to keep his family in our prayers.

I want to express my deepest sympothy to the family---you have lost a good man that would help any one--- I worked for John at the Homestretch resturaunt in champaign before he had sold and went to Indianapolis---I kept in contact yearly throuh X-Mas cards filling him in on what was going on briefly in my life--- Barbara Davison

The Costello family would like to thank everyone who befriended John in Indy. We all are from IL (Champaign-Urbana and the Chicago suburbs).

He often spoke of the people he worked with, his neighborhood friends, and some of the guys he hung out with.
